Skincare for Slackers

Are you lazy with your skincare? Do you find yourself crawling into bed without removing your makeup or even washing your face?

If you skip face washings more times than you don't, you are not alone. So many adult women skip this important ritual. Rather than skip it, just simplify it.

Wash Your Face ONCE

Focus on washing EVERY evening. Don’t skip the night time cleansing. You can skip morning, but evening is the most important, and honestly, I just splash my face with cold water when I wake up. It’s a recommended Ayurvedic practice, and I think it helps my mood and skin.

“But I’m too tired to wash my face at night,” you say?

Switch up your bedtime routine and start to wash your face earlier in the evening. You'll likely do a better job and feel a nice pick-me-up for the rest of your evening. Consider this a ritual and seek to enjoy the experience, even if it only lasts one minute.

Swap the 7-step routine for TWO

Cleanse: Use a safe, simple wash that removes makeup, nourishes and balances the skin and is free of parabens, phthalates, fragrance, SLS, and hundreds of other common but harmful ingredients. I like this cleanser because it’s safe, effective, removes my makeup, and leaves my skin hydrated.

Moisturize: The second product you need is a moisturizer. A moisturizer can nourish and soothe skin, as well as protect it from environmental aggressors. I love a lightweight product that absorbs quickly. This daily moisturizer is a home run!

That’s the 1-2 punch for glowing skin for slackers.

If you have particular skin concerns, you may like the effects of an add-on to purify pores or brighten skin or transform a lackluster complexion, such as a face oil and/or a Vitamin C Serum.
