Welcome
I’m thrilled to have you in my community, and am excited to share my 7 tips with you below!
Most sincerely,
When it comes to beauty, your skin says a lot about your health and happiness.
Beauty has at least as much to do with what we put into our bodies as what we put on our bodies.
When you eat the correct balance of foods, you’re feeding your skin the vital nutrients it needs to help it stay soft, supple and blemish-free. After all, your skin is your largest organ and it is nourished from the inside and the outside.
Steer clear of harmful chemicals and toxins, since there has been a growing consensus that toxic chemicals in our food, air, and skin care products are at the root of many health epidemics, including reproductive and fertility issues, early puberty, birth defects, and cancers.
By keeping your lifestyle healthy and simple, as nature intended, you can turn back the clock and look and feel your best without invasive surgeries and expensive products.
Before I list the tips, I want to clarify that I recommend Beautycounter products because I believe in them wholeheartedly! It’s the only brand I use on my skin and the only brand I trust for my children’s skin. Why? Beautycounter has the most rigorous screening process in the beauty industry, which garners the safest products. Plus, they perform beautifully! Beautycounter is on a mission to advance the beauty industry away from secrets toward transparency.
1.
Topical Nutrition
Feed your skin healthy oils, such as coconut or apricot kernel seed oil.
Virgin coconut oil has the ability to restore and rejuvenate damaged skin. It heals, repairs and leaves your skin radiant. Coconut oil has excellent antioxidant properties and helps to destroy free radicals. It also can even out your skin tone, giving it a more healthy-looking texture and a subtle glow.
Apricot Kernel Oil slows the signs of aging and soothes irritated skin. The high Gamma Linoleic Acid (GLA) present in apricot oil enables your skin to maintain its moisture balance. This acid also helps tone and firm up your skin.

2.
Detox
The outside of your body reflects what's going on inside of it. Skin conditions develop when the skin can't do its job of eliminating toxins efficiently, which happens because the other eliminative organs are overloaded as well.

Radiance Boosting Products
We all want a radiant complexion. And for good reason! Radiance looks healthy. And healthy is beautiful. While beauty is in large part an inside job, we can choose products that boost that radiant glow.
Recommendations:
The Countertime Enlightening Treatment Pads cleanse the skin, shrink pores, and provide gentle exfoliation. They leave behind a radiant glow.
The Radiance Firming Complex has been called a “facelift in a bottle”! It’s like a serum, but richer and creamier, hydrating your skin while working overtime to combat the appearance of wrinkles and discoloration.
Lustro Face Oil is a concentrated, yet lightweight elixir, which is easily absorbed, sinking into skin for lasting moisture (and making it the perfect primer for makeup).
4.
Lifestyle (sleep, stress, exercise)
We’ve all experienced the stress breakouts and some of us even endure hives and more complicated skin issues. The mind and skin are connected on many different levels. By managing your stress, through adequate sleep and exercise, you can keep your skin radiant. Plus, sleep and exercise have their own unique benefits to your complexion, as they both aid the detoxification process greatly! Sleep isn’t called “Beauty Sleep” for nothing!
Recommendations: Prioritize sleep, so that you ensure 7-9 hours every night. Exercise and sweat regularly (at least 30 mins daily). Adopt some healthy routines to navigate your stress. Contact me if you don’t know where to start!
5.
Hydrate
Do you know how much water you should drink daily? Half your body weight in ounces. For example, if you weight 150 lbs, drink 75 ounces/daily. Skin needs moisture to stay flexible. Even mild dehydration will cause your skin to look dry, tired and slightly grey. If you aren’t used to drinking this much water, it may take a few days for your body to adjust. Stick with it! This will get easier and become second nature.
Recommendation: Add citrus, berries, or cucumbers to your water to help add flavor and keep your sense stimulated! Make this your new healthy habit.
6.
Eat for Beauty
The connection between food and beauty is incredibly powerful! Simply changing the foods you eat can change the way you look and feel. Your face reveals your inner health, which is why beauty is primarily an inside job!
Recommendation: Focus on nutrient-rich foods that fuel your body and nourish your skin. For example, avocados and sweet potatoes support youthful, glowing skin, pears help prevent fine lines and wrinkles, while bananas and celery diminish under eye circles!
7.
Exfoliate
A gentle exfoliator sweeps away dead cells and impurities to uncover fresh, glowing skin.
Recommendation: Choose Beautycounter’s Gentle Exfoliator, which uses natural, biodegradable jojoba beads rather than plastic, so that our rivers and oceans stay clean. Many facial scrubs exfoliate the skin with tiny plastic beads, which can sneak past waste water treatment facilities and end up in waterways, affecting wildlife.
