Turn Back the Clock : 4 Steps to a More Youthful You
What You Need To Know About Aging Gracefully, so that you can enjoy life with greater energy, a youthful glow, and more freedom in your body and mind!
When was the last time that you hit your snooze button a few too many times? Or, felt like you couldn’t make it through the day without your coffee? Or, when was the last time that your body felt too heavy to keep up with an active lifestyle?
If it seems like yesterday, then you are in good company! So many of us feel overwhelmed, fatigued, exhausted, achy, and old! Yet, this doesn’t mean that you are destined for a lifetime of the blahs. You can quickly impact your mood, energy, and overall glow by making some simple changes.
While the current trend is to address symptoms of aging from the outside, my approach is to target the causes by rebalancing from the inside. Inside out youth.
Simply changing or upgrading the foods you eat, you can radically change the way you look and feel.
The changes I suggest below may seem simple. And they are. They are very simple and very effective! Here’s a little secret that it took me too long to learn in my own health journey — significant change doesn’t have to be complicated.
When you start with the foods you eat, your body will stay hydrated and energized. Your immune system will be strengthened into a disease-fighting machine and you will have effectively decreased the silent, yet deadly inflammation that causes pain and disease.
Hydrate adequately
Throw away the outdated rule of eight glasses a day. The amount of water you need depends on your unique body. Instead, aim to drink at least half your body weight in ounces. If you weigh 150 pounds, drink 75 ounces of water daily. If this is a big increase for you, expect it to take a couple of days for your body to adjust. Then you will feel huge improvements.
Eat more vegetables
The best thing you can do for your overall health is to fill your diet with whole, unrefined plant foods. We’ve all heard that we should eat a rainbow of foods, which is true, but within that spectrum, greens steal the show!
Eat high-alkaline food
All foods leave either an alkaline or an acidic residue in the bloodstream depending on whether they contain more alkaline or more acidic minerals. Acidity is considered the root of all sickness and disease, and is also considered the “aging process”. Strive to eat about 80% alkalinizing food.
Eat healthy fats, including fish oil
I’ve heard esteemed MDs suggest that healthy fats are the number one nutrient missing from the American diet. Healthy fats play a very important role in our bodies and should be eaten in moderation. Consider a daily fish oil supplement, while adding in small amounts of avocados, coconut oil, nuts and seeds into your daily diet.
By making these simple changes you will discover how to effectively turn back the clock, by turning up your health.
